wandering around

After such a big break from blogging, I'm fashionably late to my newest article. This time around, I'm going to share with you a few snaps of the outfit I wore when we discovered Barcelona and Montjuic fountain, castle, park and Joan Miro foundation. It was quite a heavy day on our feet but it was awesome enough to be worth all those extra steps thanks to faulty Google maps.
Another post with our favourite places where to eat, drink and recharge while exploring, will be up in no time. We found so many gems and met such great people, the vibe in Barcelona is incredible!

All smiles, all day every day! This city was truly wonderful, one of its places to definitely visit is the Montjuic Park and everything around it. There were joggers, a whole bunch of cute dogs, umbrella and selfie stick vendors, so much green and my pumpkin by my side. This time, without directly deciding it, we spent a lot more time enjoying all the beauty without using the camera or our phones so often. It was such a relief to plug off for a moment and take it all in. Still, as you can see, we did snap some quick photos here and there.

Don't mind my goof face, it was inevitable to laugh and make faces because the wind got us all wet near the fountain, although it was refreshing on that warm spring day. The outfit I chose was very casual with my personally favourite accents of this season. The soft/baby/powder/pastel pink tones are my favourite atm, combined with leather - et voila - the cutest, most affordable and comfortable, platform sneakers on this planet by ASOS. With these jeans I got lucky. I got them on last sale @ Zara, they were down the rabbit hole of a big pile of jeans, and I happened to notice the pattern, the acid wash of the jeans and I just grabbed it out of the pile. It was a love at first sight - the loose mom-fit, the high waist, the colour and the texture, the raw and assymetrical hems. And to top it all off, I wore a blouse and a bra top from the one place that's so near to my heart - Intimissimi. Working there has its perks, like, upgrading your wardrobe and having the most amazing underwear and lingerie that can also function as usual clothing. The feminine touch via the cut of the blouse mixed with the heavy gray colour (which is my favourite from this Intimissimi collection/season) is the perfect androgynous alternative to your outfit. Cherry on top - the pink, lace-up, corset detail backpack. Isn't it just cute?

Blouse: Intimissimi, Bra Top: Intimissimi, Jeans: Zara, Shoes: ASOS, Socks: Calzedonia, Backpack: ASOS

 Shirt: ASOS, Necklace: H&M
And a last one, chronologically misplaced, but contextually the most appropriate. :) This one was shot on the balcony of our cute and well-located hotel by the sea in Lloret de Mar, a trainride away from Barcelona. It was a must to wake up and breathe fresh sea air in. But more about that in the next post!

Love,
Ieva
