Summer favourites from ASOS

As you may already know, ASOS is my go-to online store. The products are updated almost every day so the site is never dull. The selection of brands is impossibly huge and their own collection rocks my socks off. I can always find there everything I need for a special occasion or just when I want to refresh my closet with something new. As for the prices - they are wallet-friendly for every pocket. And the price-quality correlation is spot on! All in all, it is "the prince on a white horse" of online shops. In a majorly good way, of course.
While thinking about when to book my plane tickets to spend beautiful time at the sea with my boyfriend, I clearly spent way too much time looking for the perfect outfits to match the vacation vibe. ASOS really has it all, from boho vibe dresses to gypsy tops, lace-all-over everything and the now-in 70's trend pieces. So I gathered some of my absolute favourites, with price range going from low to really high too, as in the case for the Wedding Guest picks. Enjoy!

70's vibin'

Denim dresses or overalls are the way to go. First of all, they're absolutely practical as they don't wrinkle like some other textiles do (think: cotton, silk) and they are friendly to any type of skin in the summer heat. This dress caught my eye because of it's simplicity and pretty blue denim colour.

Give me suede everything! I like to think of it as the leather/faux leather option in summer version. It's fun, different and keeps you warm in those chillier nights of mid July (especially if you live in Germany/Luxembourg, you know what I'm talking about). Though, this may seem a bit risky, but don't fear - it is absolutely gorgeous.

Bell sleeves or cape sleeves? If you think that bell sleeves are still a bit, hmm, not your style, you can try out cape sleeves like these here. It's like a little fashion hack - if you don't know how you feel about the trend, try it in different versions! And this simple LBD will do the trick.

My absolute favuorite from this category is
this one! So feminine, so beach-y, so light,
so boho, actually - so everything! Do I have
to explain myself why I'm in love with this
dress? I think no.

BEACH BABE

Vertical stripes are the new horizontal stripes? Well, at least they dominate in all the new-in sections and it's obvious why - they are summer-y, they look like pj's meet workwear meet beachwear meet smart meet fun. Get it? I hope so. This is the perfect beach cover-up if you need to run from the office to the sea and to the grocery store to load up on food!

This piece is not so conventional and conservative as a beach dress or simple top and shorts, but it isn't also any less fun! I personally love overalls/playsuits/jumpsuits and I own some pretty cool ones too. And this is on my list for the vacation attire. The colors, the cut and the comfortness are combined perfectly.

You can find it here:

The Blue China print is so beautiful! And not only on plates but on clothes too! (Try explaining it to my mum, haha) This two piece is a delight, easy to put on and take off at the beach and making heads turn thanks to its marvellous print and colours.

And what would be vacation without a maxi dress? Tie dye is coming back stronger than ever and this blue hue will compliment both brunettes and blondes. It's tricky to find a maxi dress that doesn't look too prude or too skanky, and this is the perfect in-between. The cutout is subtle but it's there, the neckline isn't provocative and is balanced with cut out detail. Perfect not only for beach but for a night out too: wear it with heels, layered necklaces and bangles and you're good to go!

WEDDING GUEST

Let's start with the fact that this dress is pretty close to perfection: the print, the colours, the kimono cut, the length. I would love to wear it to a wedding as a guest or see someone else rocking it, because this dress is an eye candy!

You can find it here:

This baby blue dress allows you to mix your accessories (see the shoes? to die for!). It's simple, yet feminine and falls beautifully on the body. The twist detail gives it a little more elegance and the lenght is more than appropriate for any wedding style. Be the perfect guest in this dreamy coloured piece!

You can find it here:

Floral-not floral? The upper part is so pretty girly in floral print and the lower part flare balances the strong print into more subtle sight. The bold colours are perfect to help you find the right accessories and make-up. This is truly a dream, modern day princess-y dress.

You can find it here:

This beauty of a dress comes also in maxi length, although I prefer how the print is on the shorter version. It is so subtle, so light and feminine. And a bit pricey too, but as I said - the correlation between price and quality is impeccable. This is a great investment in fashion as this dress is timeless and utterly stunning while not being overly drammatic.
