The Blog Tour Award

Do I have to remind you that it's Monday? I think not :) This Monday I'm happy to be tagged by the beautiful Ella from In Ella's Element to participate in The Blog Tour Award, as suggested by the title. This was actually a total blog-post-saver, as only late afternoon I realised that I still haven't thought of an idea for today's post until I remembered about this nomination! So, the next bloggers that I will nominate, don't wait for the last moment like I did! :)

This is how this goes down:

  • Pass the tour on to at least 4 other bloggers.
  • Give your nominees the rules and specify the Monday in which they should post their nomination answers.
  • Answer the four questions about your creative process, which allows other bloggers and visitors to understand what inspires you to do what you do.
  • Compose this one-time post on a specific Monday (date TBD by your nominator).
And here are my answers:

How does your work differ from others in your genre?

The biggest difference I think is that I completely and utterly express what I want to say exactly how I want to say it. If I want to keep it short, I keep it short and viceversa with longer posts. I express my own opinion even if it's not mainstream or not of a public opinion. And I do write as I speak. Of course, many of these aspects may be the same for also other fellow bloggers but what can I say. We all have something unique, something that only we express in a certain way that others don't or don't want to.

How does your writing/creative process work?
It mainly depends on what topic I'm talking about. If it's a fashion related post, I always prepare the needed photos, quotes, collages etc. If it's more of a life / lifestyle / experience / advice post, I have two ways of preparing and working. First one is that I'd think out of nowhere about a topic I'd like to tackle on here or if I'd read or heard anything about what I'd want to express my point of view. Second way is that I just sit down at the pc, browse through my blog post ideas, through pinterest, bloglovin' and then I create a post, for example a list post, about something I've learned, gotten to know about and wanted to share etc. And it's usually in the evenings or nights, because that's when I'm more creative.

Why do you write and create what you do?

Is "because I want to" too ridiculous for an answer? :D Mainly, as stated in my earlier posts, I like to express myself, I cherish the possibility to do this and be a part of a community that love the same thing but with different personal twists on it. It's fun and it makes me feel as I've really done something. And if someone leaves a comment or I see the pageviews growing, I just feel happy that there's someone who also reads what I have to say.

What are you working on at the moment?

A few fashion posts that I shot with my boyfriend some while back but haven't still posted them. I still have to choose the right photographs to show you and to evaluate how relevant they are to the current situation (weather, trend, mood etc.). And I'm trying to pen down more authentic blog post ideas for future days.

I hope you enjoyed reading! And thank you if you did!

Now I nominate these 4 blogs / bloggers:

Nisha from Magpie Hut
Samantha from Pearls and Polka Dots
Samantha from Miracle Kisses

You have to answer the same four questions I did and post your answer post, along with nominating other 4 bloggers on Monday, 20th of July! And let me know when you do.

Can't wait to read your answers!

Love,
Ieva
